Henry Hudson Regional School students in grades 7-9 performed in “Sleepy Hollow, a Musical Tale” on October 28th and 29th.  High school and middle school students also worked together on the stage crew to put out a fantastic production.

The play was a new musical version of the classic Washington Irving story, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow – with a modern-day spin. The show begins in the present day on Halloween night and is transformed into 18th Century Sleepy Hollow for the bulk of the show. Three modern-day children find themselves right in the middle of all the odd characters, traditions, ghosts and goblins of Sleepy Hollow, and even confront the infamous Headless Horseman himself in an attempt to return home.

The show was directed by Mrs. Maureen Sweeney, with Musical Direction by Mr. Jeffrey Starr. Many thanks to parent volunteers Mrs. Jean Springsteen and Mrs. Lora Pinhas for their help and dedication to the production, and to Auto Exotica and Atlantic Cinemas for their support.
